Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Merrimack, NH (on-site)

Job Description
At FuturePlus Systems, we work together to understand our customers, the industry and the tools they need to get their job done. We do this by building quality products and offering unique services that can satisfy their needs. We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team and help us grow. As part our team, you will lead the design, development, and verification of high-performance T&M products. You will drive requirements definition, simulation, analysis, design, test and production release of the complex board-level analog and digital circuitry. Your responsibilities span technical leadership as well as detailed design and test activities, including PCB design, FPGA coding, schematic capture, design reviews, prototyping, and engineering test and debug.

Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics or related subject areas
• 8+ years proven experience developing complex PCB at GHz speeds
• Experience with analog, digital and mixed-signal circuit analysis, simulation, design, test, troubleshooting, signal integrity, power, and grounding and general board layout principles
• FPGA coding, simulation
• Desire to work hands-on, both independently and with the team, throughout the development and production phases of the product
• Knowledge of the operation of Logic Analyzers, Protocol Analyzers and Oscilloscopes

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the Test and Measurements Industry
Experience with 3D modeling software and printers

Entry-Level Electrical Design Engineer

We are looking for an Entry-Level Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates, early-career engineers, or advanced degree students (M.S. or Ph.D.) who are eager to make an impact on next-generation electronic systems.

What You’ll Do
As part of our engineering team, you will:
• Assist in the design, simulation, and testing of high-speed analog and digital circuits for advanced electronics.
• Support schematic capture, PCB layout collaboration, prototyping, and board bring-up.
• Work with FPGAs for signal capture and processing, including entry-level coding and simulation tasks.
• Learn to use tools like logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers in a hands-on lab environment.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to support product development from concept to production.

Who You Are
• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• You’ve completed a co-op, internship, or academic research project involving electronics or embedded systems.
• You’re curious, hands-on, and not afraid to ask questions or dive into debugging.
You have a foundational understanding of:
• Analog and digital circuit design
• Computer Architecture
• Signal integrity and PCB design principles
• FPGA development (even if just a class project)
You're excited by the idea of working on products years ahead of what's commercially available.
Bonus Skills (Not Required)
• Experience with tools like ORCAD, Verilog, Python
• Exposure to high-speed interfaces (DDR, PCIe, DisplayPort, etc.)
• Previous lab experience debugging hardware like Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, and Protocol Analyzers
• Experience with 3D modeling software and printers.
