Probes Overview
FuturePlus Systems offers three products for the FBD
memory system designer; their features are listed below. With these
versatile products, designers can use their Agilent Technologies logic
analyzer as a FBD memory bus analyzer. The FBD analysis probes, coupled
with the powerful triggering and analysis capabilities of Agilent's
state and timing analyzers, provide an extremely effective and efficient
tool for debugging, testing and verifying products incorporating FBD
memory systems.
Quick and easy connection between
the FBD bus connector and Agilent logic analyzers
Complete and accurate 800 MT/s state
and timing analysis
Provides functional integrity validation
of addr/cmd and data
Features embedded probing resistors
to minimize stub loading from routing to logic analysis connectors.
Straddle mount connector topology
minimizes loading and allows probing of adjacent slots and system
with limited vertical clearance.
Supports all FBD DRAMs and AMB components

Slot (FS2338) and Interposer (FS2343)
Probe Overview
The FS2338 and FS2343 use the
LAI function of the Advanced Memory Buffer (AMB) to analyze High
Speed Channel transactions at up to 4.8 Gb/s (FS2338) or 4.0 Gb/s (FS2343)
Quick and easy connection between
the FBD bus connector and Agilent logic analyzers
The logic analyzer is connected to
an external probe interface board 1 meter from the Slot or Interposer
board
The AMB is controlled with the probe
control software running on the 16900
