Jitter Insertion With Interposers
An interposer is a piece of electronic equipment that goes between a data bus and a card. The Jitterlyzer's interposers are used to measure and inject jitter. The Jitterlyzer connects to the interposer through a set of MMCX cables. These cables allow the Jitterlyzer to measure and inject controlled jitter on a live system. Interposers are used with the Jitterlyzer in PCIe 1x and 4x architectures. The photo above shows the FS5000 connected to one of the PCI Express X1 interposers with the FS1057 co-axial adapter cable.
This shows the FS5000 connected to the FS1054 co-axial adapter cable, which is used with the PCI Express X4 interposers.
