  • Support for Ordered Sets, TLP, DLLP and Electrical Idle
  • Fast Training Sequence (without extension bit) synchronization in 10-14 FTS's
  • 8b and 10b decoding (10b mode requires external reference clock)
  • 24-byte pattern matching sufficient for the maximum PCIe header size in 8-bit decoding mode
  • Packet recognizers - 3 per link
  • Software controlled Polarity Inversion and Lane Reversal
  • Advanced filtering (store qualification)
    • Packet types, control symbols, and idles
    • Traffic class and virtual channel
    • Packet recognizers
  • Jitter specification (valid data eye) - 140 ps (.35 Unit Interval)
  • 2 Link Processors each handling a single direction link
  • 1 external reference clock supported (when preprocessor is not operating in internal mode)
  • Internal reference clock mode can be used when no SSC is present and link frequency is within 100 ppm of nominal
