Summary - FS2340 FBD Validation DIMM Probe

With this versatile product, designers can use their Agilent logic analyzer as a Fully Buffered DIMM (FBD) SDRAM bus analyzer. The FS2340, coupled with the powerful triggering and analysis capabilities of Agilent`s state and timing analyzers, gives the user an extremely effective and efficient tool for debugging, testing and verifying products incorporating FBD SDRAM memory systems.

The FS2340 FBDIMM Validation Probe is based on the revision 0.3 FBDIMM Raw Card B (x 8) design. The product allows probing of the DDR2 signals sent from the Advanced Memory Buffer Chip (AMB) on the FBDIMM. The signals are probed internally on the card, using embedded circuitry that is routed to 100-pin Samtec connectors on the top edge of the board. These connectors accommodate probing by a range of Agilent logic analyzers. Configuration files are provided for both 16700 and 16900 analyzers configured in Timing mode or State Mode, which when used with Dual Sample Mode, allows simultaneous tracking of Read and Write data.
