- FS2338 and FS2343 FBD Channel Analysis Probes
Accurate Protocol Analysis:
The FS2338 and FS2343 Fully Buffered DIMM (FBD) channel analysis probes bring
bus signals to your Agilent logic analyzer via controlled-impedance cables
for an easy state and timing analysis connection, while maintaining signal
fidelity. The protocol decode software translates the signals into easily
understood bus transactions at the full bus speed. Extensive triggering and
store qualification features are available through the Agilent logic analyzer.
With the Advanced Memory Buffer (AMB) in LAI mode, all signals that provide
channel traffic information are sent to the logic analyzer.
The FS2338 consists of two assemblies connected
by one meter high speed cables. The slot
probe board connects to a FBD DIMM socket in your system. The logic
analyzer adapter
board, which is connected to the slot probe board by 1 meter cables,
has connectors that mate to the termination adapters, which in turn
connect to the Agilent logic analyzer pods. The FS2338 analyzes High Speed Channels operating up to 4.8 Gb/s.
The FS2343 also consists of two assemblies connected
by one meter high speed cables. The interposer
probe board connects to a FBD DIMM socket in your system. A FBD
DIMM must be placed in the socket on the top of the interposer probe
board. The adapter
board, which is connected to the interposer probe board by 1 meter
cables, has connectors that mate to the termination adapters, which
in turn connect to the Agilent logic analyzer pods. The FS2338 analyzes High Speed Channels operating up to 4.0 Gb/s.
Signal Assignments on Probe Pods
There are signal connections for up to six different logic analyzer termination
adapter cables (Agilent E5378A). This provides the user with some flexibility
in terms of which signals they wish to connect to based on the type of analysis
that is needed, (e.g. SB or NB only, all trigger events, SB and NB traffic
together, etc). The 16753/4/5/6 and 16950 cards require Agilent E5378A adapter
cables. One termination adapter cable is required for every two logic analyzer
pods.
