Detailed Description

Accurate State and Timing Analysis:
The FS2331 DDR memory bus analysis probe brings bus signals to your Agilent logic analyzer via controlled impedance cables for an easy 333 MHz state and timing analysis connection while maintaining signal fidelity. The included transactor software translates the signals into easily understood bus transactions at the full bus speed. Extensive triggering and store qualification features are available through the Agilent logic analyzer. All signals are probed passively, but the 1x and 2x clocks are buffered before being sent to the clock channels of the logic analyzer. These are also available unbuffered. Burst sizes of 2, 4, 8, are supported.

The user can elect to view either write cycles, read cycles, or combination write-and-read cycles. This selection affects only the buffered 2x clock. The unbuffered 2x clock is always visible.

DIMM-to-DIMM Interposers Available
In situations where the target system has only one DIMM connector, use the new FS1024 or FS1025 DIMM-to-DIMM interposers to conveniently connect to the DDR memory bus while also maintaining the memory-module connection. These interposers provide a "Y" connection that allows both the user's DIMM and the FS2331 to be plugged into the same connector, while maintaining signal integrity at full speed.

Which interposer is best for your application?
Do you need a "Left-hand" or "Right-hand" Interposer? You may choose the FS1024 or FS1025 interposer, depending upon the physical surroundings of your target DIMM connector. These products are identical in every way, except each is the mirror image of the other.

Referring to the orientation of the locator-key slot, we call the FS1024 as the "left-handed" version, while the FS1025 is "right-handed."

SO-DIMM to DIMM Adapter Available
In situations where the target system has an SO-DIMM connector, use the FS1013 adapter to conveniently connect the FS2331 to the DDR memory bus.
