Q. Why does the FS2009 include two different connection adapters to my target system?

A. We anticipate that in some situations you might have difficulty using the interposer adapter because of the extension of the bus. The solder-on adapter, although it takes a little more time to install, is less of an electrical load on the bus and thus should allow you to be successful in probing the PCI-X bus at full speed.

Q. I would like to purchase a product that will work on both a PCI-X 2.0 bus and the older PCI-X 1.0 bus. Is that available?

A. Yes. the FS2009 will work just fine with both PCI-X 1.0 and PCI-X 2.0.

Q. Is there a new version of FS2009 PCI-X 2.0 Analysis Probe Software available?

A. FuturePlus Systems is pleased to provide free upgrades of the latest PCI-X software to all FS2009 Analysis Probe customers. Go to the Technical Support area to see the latest version numbers; you may request a free update there.

Q. Does the FS2009 require any power from my system?

A. No. All necessary power is supplied by an external power supply.
