MSO Connection

Connecting the Mixed Signal Interposers to the Tektronix Mixed Signal Oscilloscope:

The FS2382 (DIMM) and FS2382 (SO-DIMM) are the MSI DDR3 interposers with the greatest visibility, having 5 Paddle cards. One Paddle card is dedicated to use with the P6780 Digital probe. That "Digital" Paddle card provides access to 34 Address, Command, Control and Clock signals as single-ended connections.

The second Paddle card provides access to these same 34 signals for a P750x series Analog scope probe with a Tri-Mode cable. The "Analog" Paddle card is set-up so that the P750x probe can measure any differential signal (CK0 or CK1) differentially.

The remaining 3 Paddle cards are "Analog" Paddle cards also and provide access to all the DQx (Data bit) signals as single-ended measurements and all the DQSx_p/n (Data strobe) signals as either single-ended or differential measurements. This totals 100 signals, which includes the ECC byte and all DQ strobes as 2 (single-ended) signals.
